And that's what started the "spirited" conversation!

Roy did reproduce the bubble top. He made them for the 53 to 55 and 56 to 60 sold quite a few. There was an article in one of the Corvette magazines a few years ago showing most of the manufacturing process. When he finished he advertised the tooling for sale. He also reproduced some of the 55 ignition shielding. He was a talented guy. R.I.P. Roy

You are so correct BURT. We had many ''heavy'' discussions about paint colors [ gray] on 55's and other interesting items, but Roy always treated me with respect. We both had a common love of the hobby.

I hear him now, ''GESSNER, you have more lessons to learn, that's why your still on this side''

          Thanks my friend.........RIP

RIP Roy. You will be missed. God Bless.
BY the way friends. Most of you did not believe Roy about having a 67 BB hood on his small block. I grew up at Grabiak Chevrolet in New Alexandria PA. Hung out there. They sponsored me to go the GM Training center.
They received not one but two new '67 small blocks with BB hoods. The hoods were painted 100% body color. When we looked the them they were fresh off the truck and had not been in the garage for prep.
Meanwhile once again my Roy RIP. John D.
