    Holley R3810 part needed

I this this part is called the fast idle cam for my Holley R3810 from my 1967 327-350hp. It explains to me why I had cold start issues last year with the choke ON and no elevated idle. After warming up, idle was fine. I found the serrated piece that had broken off lying on the intake manifold.

I was hoping that the Holley from a very recent post would work, but its missing. So Now the search is on. I checked the Holley web site on the 4160 R3810 and they don't list it.

Anyone have any ideas on where to get one?

    Don

        Don,

You might check out this one at Chicago Carburetor:

They call it a cam/actuator, generic to 66-70 holleys.

Also google Holley fast idle cam 3810, there is one on ebay

              Don,
If the break is clean, I would try some Gorilla Super Glue before searching out a new part. Not a lot of pressure on that part when in place. Kinda hard to figure out how it broke in the first place.

The fast idle cam replacement is available from a number of sources. They are usually a dark green (539) on cam . The original for the 67 was a mint green color.

Bob, can you or someone else on here tell me which of the 2 fast idle cams is correct for my 3810 base motor 67? One is green, with darker edges but lighter center. The other is the yellowed white color similar to the w/s washer pump plastic hose base. One came on my 3810 replacement carb and the other on a rebuilt 3810 from Chicago Corvette. I need to putt the most correct one on for flight judging.
                  Thanks.

John, The dark green is the current replacement that came on the service carbs. The lighter colored one is used on 68 69 dual line carbs. I have some used mint green (# 539). Call me at 314 843-7545. Bob K
