    Radio Connection wire identification

I purchased a radio connector for bench testing my midyear radio. It has three wires besides the gound. Black, gray and yellow. Can anyone identify what these colored wires represent?

    Thanks

Knowing the year would be helpful, but generally black would be ground, gray would be power for the light, and yellow power for the radio itself.

        Re: Radio Connestion wire identification

Thanks for the feedback. I have attached a picture of my connection. It has two black wires, a gray and a yellow. I get what the gray and yellow represent, but one of the black wires appears to be set up for the ground, can anyone comment on the second black wire? I believe this is a 1967 radio.

        Thanks

          Gerald,
If you're asking about the one with the loop connector, that goes to the "Z" bar and is attached with a self tapping screw.

            Leif,

Thanks for the feedback. Is the other black also a ground so that I can attach the two blacks to a grounding source for bench testing a radio?
