After months of searching , I finally found a car, just bought a 1969 390 horse roadster, now I need to get it home. Just looking for suggestions on the best transport companies, enclosed would obviously be the best option, but the paint on this car is not perfect anyway so I could probably go open carrier. The car is in Missouri, and I need to get it to Washington state.

Re: Enclosed vehicle transport
I use Intercity but most of the larger carriers do a good job.
I think your biggest problem is getting one of them to do it in a sensible time frame. Very busy time of the year for all of them. All the good carriers are busy most of the time.
You may have to wait a month or more. I strongly recommend you don't sacrifice quality for a lesser price.- Top

Re: Enclosed vehicle transport
Last week I called Intercity, who I've used before, inquiring about picking up a new C-7 on the east coast and delivering to Washington. I was quoted $2800 and it would be 2-3 months and possibly longer before they could do it. I bought a new Corvette in Salt Lake City and had 3 different carriers say they would pick it up but none of them ever showed up at the dealership. I ended up going and getting it myself. Stay away from brokers.- Top

The top three I had used several years ago are not in that business anymore, that is why it is taking so long and more expensive, not many choices.Big Tanks In the High Mountains of New Mexico- Top

If you don't mind an open trailer give Van 3 Auto Transport a call 815-524-5475 as they did a great job for me very reasonable fee from California to Missouri. They also have enclosed trailers as well.

Re: Enclosed vehicle transport
I just had Reliable deliver a car from Ohio, they do good work. In the past I've gone with low price "bids", but one car showed up chained down and another was in a trailer that was on its last legs that was "enclosed" with tarps around an open trailer.
if it's a good car, use a good carrier.- Top
