I have a box I made to start the engine in the frame before the body drop that works very good with standard ignition. My question is will it work with a 350 LT-1 with transistor ignition or will I need to add something to make it work.

Re: Starting box with TI
Lyle,
You will need a TI box, hooked up properly, gounded, thru the ignition switch. Or, put in a points style distributor.
I have a front half of a frame I use, with a radiator, on wheels. I have a TI box wired in, and just wire it differently for a points distributor.

Okay. I have no idea what kind of a "magic box" you have but, no parts of a regular ignition system are interchangeable with T.I. ignition. I recently fired up my 65 BB (with T.I) on the chassis and simply used a spare point type distributor and coil because I didn't want to go through the hassle of all the extra wiring and mounting of the T.I. amplifier.- Top
