Yes that's my 70. the shroud is definingly gray but not sure if its the right shape or not. Judge said yours is gray & should be black with part # in the upper drivers side corner.

IT looks just like this one posted here.

I can't see the pictures you posted Ken.
As soon as I get a chance I'll post the pictures you texted me of your shroud.

            Re: 1970 454 fan shroud.

I finally had the opportunity to photograph all 3 shrouds that were made for 69-72 BB cars.
3956119 (Dark Gray), 3974015 (Light Gray), and the 3974015 (Dark Gray).

Both versions of the 3974015 have the part number on the bottom right side.
The 3956119 has the part number on the upper left side.

The Light Gray 3974015 was used on both A/C and non A/C 1970's during earlier production.
The Dark Gray 3974015 was used on later 1970-1972 A/C cars.
The Dark Gray 3956119 was used on 1969 and later 1970-1972 non A/C cars.

My 1970 LS-5 with factory AC (#06237) has that light gray fan shroud.

guys, the key to your answers are on the drawing, the print will give you all this detail you need. If it has been reproduced as authorized gm part that company has the prints.

                    Thanks Scott.

Recently I've come across 2 more original cars with the light gray shroud.
                    Both are non A/C cars.
