I guess the 65 Judging Guide is wrong as it states " The bottom of the top continues in a straight line. There is no notch cut-in for the door clearance as in early midyear cars."
On a side note, how about that coil?

I finally found an original 207 and now the 396 runs like it should.

I have attached a few pictures. Hoping this will get me closer to an accurate ID for this top. As you will see, the year is visible on the glass, but no month. I took a picture of what I think is the notch. I have more. This top came with a '67 I bought years ago. I knew it was not correct for a'67 based on the headliner. Trying to off load excess stuff, but want to represent it correctly when I sell. Thanks for all the help.

I am hoping this will work. Have taken some pictures of the date code - no month. Also a shot of the whole top and a closeup of the notch. I have more but the size limit keeps me from sending them.

Your zip file was easily downloaded on my laptop. It is a folder with three photos. Did you "go advanced" to upload individual photos?

Not sure where to find "go advanced" I am kinda new at navigating this site and it is not as intuitive as I would hope. I tried to upload photos using that icon with NO success. After several tries I was able to up load the zip file using the attachments button. To be perfectly honest though, I was having incredibly slow and difficult service last night which may have been a factor. When I used Google as my browser nothing would upload . I finally tried Microsoft browser and it allowed me to upload the zip file.
Still have no idea about go advanced. I have trouble figuring out the sequence of how to select a message and how to respond, how to attach files or photos and then ultimately how to send. Like I said not very intuitive and Help Desk really did not help.
OK - through venting. Still trying to identify this top.

                    Re: C2 Hardtop

Looks like I have come about as far as I can with this. There is definitely no notch. It looks like my original thought that this top is for a '64 or E65 was right. I am guessing a '65. While the top is painted white now, there is evidence of blue under the lead edge that looks like a '65 blue. I will represent it as probably early 65 but could be a '64 Now I just have to find someone who wants it.
                    Thanks for your help.

No question that this is woven cloth. See photo. That still indicates '64 to early '65
See photo attached where dye has been worn off.

Harvey, I looked at post 23, that is an early 63 top. Please remember that parts were changed all the time. I would expect even the rear glass. The color of the top and the Job Number were written on the top under the molding. This is the color that matched the original body color and the Job number matched the number on the doors and the firewall. I agree there were 3 63 tops. The headliner on a 63 and 64 was a thin fiberglass weave glued to 3/8 inch sound deadner. That was sprayed interior color. It is fragile as hell so if it is in good shape, just mask it off and spray it the color you want. If you try to remove it you will buying a new hedliner made of plastic and vinyl. Don't ask how I know.

Check the archives on prior posts on the 63/64 tops.

                          Cheers

                            Hi Harry
Happy 4th. Look at my post #19 in the thread. It has a zip file that shows a year date of '64 but no month code. How does that relate to what you find in my picture of the headliner in #23? This top came with a '67 I bought years ago. Since it is not correct for the car I decided someone else might want it but am trying to figure out what it is. I feel pretty sure of a '64 or early '65. Any further thoughts are appreciated.

Harvey. I looked at the zip file. I may have confused myself. I probably mistook the picture of the red top as yours.
