There was a car stolen at Cypress Gardens many years ago. It was pretty well known who supposedly had the car. They never went after the car because of the possibility of the car being destroyed if the perp got wind. Alleged perp did make time later for other stolen cars.

Followup to stolen '65 fuelie at this year's Indy Bloomington Gold

Our dear friends Gary and Vicki Pasch had owned their '65 fuelie better than 47 years. It was stolen while they attended this year's BG event in Indianapolis. I've attached an article that appeared in yesterday's Indy Star. If anyone hears anything, Gary can be reached at 815-399-6015. Let's keep our eyes and ears open and hope this Corvette is recovered. Thanks and best wishes.

Are there any details on this theft? Were any anti theft precautions taken that obviously didn't work? Was the car flat bedded away? Curious.

Hi Brian. I think several of your questions are probably answered later in the pdf of the article I attached. A late-night video from a business near the hotel where we stayed showed a pick-up and flat-bed trailer leaving the area, twice, empty. But its appearance twice around the time of the theft was surely suspicious. More details are late in the article. Thanks and best wishes.

A good preventative measure is to place your cell phone (fully charged) in a place where it is unlikely to be found. Not going to mention all the possibilities for obvious reasons. Helps if you are traveling in pairs since you would still have another phone. If the car stolen it can be found so long as the battery is functional.

If this notification is designed to be helpful, might it be a good idea to post the VIN and engine numbers along with some detailed photographs.
