Water pump number is 3991399. H261 with the thicker output shaft the pump that was on before was incorrect and different height

    balancer pulley 3858533 BJ
    water pump 3991423 BW

the balancer is new and pictured here it's dimensions are correct I'm wondering if the shaft on the crank part is different?

I don't see a snout on this balancer and I don't understand that, AT ALL.

Photos of balancer are from when I purchased it again my car is in Maine and I'm in pa. I will have my brother go and take some pictures and measurements. It is believed the balancer is "home" also I believe the shaft extends almost or approximately flush with the rear of the balancer or about 1 5/8" from face to butt end. I came back to pa Sunday after assembling the motor over the weekend. I'll update when I have more info.

If it is supposed to extend beyond the rear of the damper that may be the answer. I just looked up the specs for 3942538
And it appears it should also be 1-3/4" thick? I think this may be the problem and answer.

is it confirmed that my pullies are correct?

          thank you again
