When I was driving 65 327 365 hp car up a 2 mile long hill yesterday she stalled 4 times to top of hill. Felt like I was out of fuel. After each stall she restarted after a complete stop. I am thinking that the fuel pump diaphragm is leaking . I removed fuel cap during on of the stops and it still happened. Any one come across this before?

Re: Stall
When it stalls look down the carb while actuating the throttle. No gas coming out of the accelerator pump squirters, then yes fuel starvation is the likely cause.
Next verify the fuel filter is good. Then verify the pump pressure is in spec with a fuel pump/vac gauge. If both check out it could be a leak in the fuel line or a bad pick up in the tank. If the tanks never been down for a cleaning/inspection there is likely crud in there plugging the sock on the pick up tube.- Top
