I will not use anything that has a requirement to use paypal.

Ever since eBay required paypal I have not even looked at it. All the new rules policy are set up so they make more money.

I use Paypal and am glad to do so....

Some of us remember the pre-Internet days of physical swap meets, raiding pals' used parts stashes, cruising junkyards and dealing with vendors over the phone buying things you couldn't even examine with money orders...

I find PayPal to be great when buying from ebay. I hit buy and now and pay with PayPal, and I am done with minimum keystrokes.

I buy and sell a lot on Corvette Forum and use the Family and Friends option with PayPal. The buyer and seller exchange funds immediately with no cost to either.

So far, I have no problem with PayPal.

eBay use to own PayPal, PayPal became an independent entity about 6 yrs. ago probably because the IRS was leaning on them to have ebayers report their yearly sales & PayPal wanted to keep more $ (my niece use to work at PayPal). eBay is using PayPal but is presently shopping for, or developing another financial institution.

Your checking account or bank account backs your transactions, if the amount goes over your account then your credit card gets hit etc.
