    70 wiper arm washer tubes

After fixing my washer pump, the tube came lose from the arm. How does one attach the plastic clips to the arm and tube? Is there a preferred method to reattach the tube to the tab on the right side (passenger side). Looks like it was soldered before, but hard to tell.

Clean it up. clamp it in place and re-solder. Propane torch will work best.

If you have covers over the springs your OK to install the clips. Many cars have no metal covers over the spring as they fell off and they are what hold the clips.

There are remnants of plastic clips on my wiper arm, but not sure how they go on or intended to hold.

Here are some pictures of the wiper arms showing the clip locations from my 73. They are the same on your 70. The diagram is from Paragon's parts catalog also showing the clip locations. Four clips on the passenger side and three clips on the driver side. BTW, if you are a little hesitant about using the propane torch to re- solder as Russ suggests try using a daub of Locktite Superglue Gel in that same area to hold the tube in place. That's what I use when I break mine loose every time I accidentally catch it on a towel when cleaning/ washing the car
          Hope these help.

I used one of these to solder mine on. Worked perfect.
