Yes they were aftermarket wires on the car. I just purchased a new set of dated wires from LL and measured the resistance in them. It is posted on another thread.

I was dinged for incorrect plugs at a recent regional meet. The judge did NOT remove the original type repop boots but was able to see the plug number with his mirror. I even argued the point as I thought I had the correct 43N plugs until I removed a cap to see... As it turned out (my son reminded me) that I had been trying to find the source of a "misfire" and had removed my 43N plugs and installed a different set. The problem (misfire) turned out to be a cracked plug. I neglected to reinstall the 43N's at that time and forgot all about them until the judge found the incorrect plugs. I have since reinstalled some 43N's...….

Steve, a little trick paint up the plugs with orange engine paint as the covered AC number can’t be disputed then even with short reproduction wire boots.

But aren’t AC44 the original equipment? I’m assuming they were the same as 65, 66, and 67, maybe not.

I thought the topic was spark plugs for 64 300hp...................? How did we get on the topic of 67 427/390, I must have missed something.
