    Pat,

According to your database, which kit/bag was typically supplied with a 1996 LT4? I would assume it's the same as an LT1.

Floyd, Tom has accepted both bags. I don't know why or when each bag was introduced. Pat thanks for the help. I have your build date somewhere in my stuff, but could you give it to me again so that at least I know when your bag number was applicable.
        Thanks

I am still trying to find the lock bag you need. Just an update. Have several mini storages to look through.

Chris, I did not observe anyone answering the last half of your question. All wheel valve stems and caps (94-96) were black rubber. The caps
were mfg. by Dill, also black plastic, the center which has a small round tip. Markings are "Dill", and the number50, 90 degrees from Dill is the number 627. If your car is equipped with LTPWS (RPO UJ6), there is a decal affixed to the outer rim of the wheel that indicates where the bead should be broken when replacing or repairing the tire. all of this info is listed in the 94-96 TIMJG. This information covers the LT-! and the ZR-!.
                  Hope this helps.

Thank you, I can find the 627 caps. just haven't been able to verify they have the number "50"

Not to be too much trouble but does anyone have a picture of where the 50 is stamped on the valve cap? All the ones I can find have 627 on each side of the valve cap - no 50 that I can see or find?

Chris, on the original valve stem caps on my 96, when looking at the writing/numbers right-side-up, there is "Dill" at the 12 o'clock position, and "627" at the 6 o'clock position. At the 3 o'clock position are 2-digit characters, but they are extremely difficult to read, even under magnification, and on mine they appear to be random. One appears to read "81" or "8I", another "7F" or "7P", another "45" or "4G" and "78" or "7G".

Hi All! I am still working on the details from my original post on this thread....so far this is what I think, the clear wheel lock bags are different for the LT4 vs LT1 due to there being an extension in it for the wider rear wheels like the ZR1. Also along those lines, the LT1 and / or LT4 should and correct me if I am wrong, a sleeve for the wheel lock key (LT1) and wheel lock key and extension 95 LT5 and 96 LT4 (different wheel lock bag numbers and colors). So does the SLEEVE with velcro come inside the sealed wheel lock back with order card, instructions, locking lugs AND IF I READ THE MANUAL RIGHT, it should contain 4 plastic silver lug cover caps in the bag (didn't think they plastic covers should be in the bag but the manual says that are?) Now I have read differing instructions if the lock bag has been opened, the correct placement of the velcro lock key sleeve and key should be in (95 LT1) in the center console behind the cassette holder, others have said it should be mounted under the tray near the jack or is that the extension for LT4 (96) and 95(LT5). Not to make it more confusing, the OTHER part of my post about valve stem caps, I have NOT been able to find any on the planet that has Dill 647 (found plenty of those) but NONE with the "50" stamp on it. Anyone have any leads , sources or tips to find those valve caps? Hope this post doesn't give anyone a headache

Chris let me tackle one item at a time. Pertaining to the Dill valve stem caps. I began to look at a lot of them at various NCRS functions as I too was trying to adhere to the Judging Manual. What I found out and after speaking to other NCRS Members was that the Dill Caps contained the 627 as a constant number but the next two numbers were all over the place. Therefore in my humble and unoffical opinion, is if you have the Dill 627's you are good.
I am attaching photos of the Dill Caps off of my 1995.

Chris, I am attaching a photo of the silver caps in a sealed bag. This photo was taken along with a number of others of a 1990 ZR1 that never went through dealer prep.

I don't know how the later C4's handled this issue, but again in my humble and official opinion, the bag would be opened and the caps attached in normal dealer prep and probably then the bag was thrown out. I guess these were for all the wheels as it looks like a lot more than four are in this bag. It looks like all the necessary ones for all four wheels., but then again, I really don't know.

Perhaps you are confusing the LT4 option with the Grand Sport Coupe?
