    1972 LT-1 CEC Solenoid

My 72 LT-1 is missing the CEC Solenoid. The electrical plug is intact. I would like to replace the solenoid. Since the vacuum line(s) were replaced, is there any issue with me replacing the solenoid and hooking up the vacuum hose according to factory spec's?

1971 is CEC, 70 and 72 are TCS.

Go ahead and replace it. They make them in reproduction now, so not difficult to source them and get the system back to specs.

I often bypass the solenoid and run full-time vacuum on my own 72, but there's no harm to running the factory configuration.

        Jack,
Make sure the transmission switch and the relay in the dash is working. The temp sender in the passenger side head probably wont stop it from working at normal temp. Good luck with the new car. I have an original solenoid if you need it

I believe that Lectric Limited has them made. I would not be surprised if others also sell them.
            This may be it:

Or, search for 1114451 on eBay.
