The various corvette parts suppliers show a relatively long heater hose water pump fitting for a 70 454 with a/c. With the heater hoses going over the top of the compressor, is there enough clearance for the hose to come over and down and connect up without kinking the 3/4 inch hose? I looked at a 71 454, a/c car and it had a short fitting. Don't know if it is original. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

1970 with LS-5 and C-60 used a short heater hose nipple in the waterpump. It was GM #3739798.In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top

Re: 454 water pump heater hose outlet
It is a shorter nipple - here is a pic from my 74 - the hose doesn't really go over the compressor on this car.
