there is one of those hideous front clipped c-1's here in town. been here since the SCCA nationals were held here(mid-60's when it showed up at one of the races). i'm told its got an impala title/vin. haven't seen it in years. mike

Ro McGonegal auto magazine editor bought this 360 hp '62 in late 1963. He had it painted from black to '64 Cadillac Firemist red and trim removed. Raised it adding a leaf in the rear and square tubing to the front suspension. Changed out the 3:70 for 4:56 and Traction Masters. Wheels are ET UniLugs.

Station wagon defeated 1956 Corvette. The 327 from this car powered the Gulf Racer at Laguna Seca in 1987.

Sunday racer----Monday ,back to work with her. This car has quickly become one very special part of our family. Triple Sliver 425. Still retains her original paint ,drivetrain, & guts. Special thanks to all who have been caretakers of her & Jim Gessner who found her for me !

Joe: no, the almond car was sold off a couple years ago. the dipstick vet was a 57 FI that I bought in '70 and duntov'd at Anaheim in 92. I still have it. it'll be the last to go, after I'm gone. it appears bone stock but turns high 12's on street tires. love it. mike
