Absolutely leave those historical stickers on the cars. Any originality deduct in judging would be inconsequential in comparison to the historical value to you the car owner. I would never give one thought to removing such stickers if my car had them.

I appreciate that Men. If it were a parking lot sticker from a college etc, it would go away & be put in the Doc file, But the entry pass sticker on the front left bumper to Hanscom AFB is very cool in my book. We'll see what the Judges say next Yr when I start taking her to meets. I had trouble last night trying to share the pic I had of it to you, I pulled it out of my pics , but when I hit upload----no dice.

Let those judges say what they will and if they want to take more than a point, scream foul!
and go to the Test forum by clicking on the word forum in either small tool bar above to practice loading in photo files.
whatever you do, don't let anyone tell you that you should or must remove that sticker..... !

Or the screwed in dealer emblems. I have one on my 175,000 mile '67 and it's never been mentioned during judging.

I've been torn ever since I found my car last Yr----------------It still has the entry sticker on the front bumper from the past owner when he was in the Air Force in the late 70's early 80's. Super cool from Hanscom AFB in Mass. I know during judging I'll get hit with a deduction------Tough one.

If the bumper doesn't need refinishing --- leave it be. It is part of the car's history and that is far more important than a point or two. I left the Playboy sticker on the back window of my 1970 all the way through all the awards a Corvette can get in both NCRS & Bloomington Gold. It made for a lot of pleasant conversation, and occasionally I lost a point of two. I think I would have lost those same points for something else if I didn't have the sticker to distract the judges. I can say that now that the judging is over, but I wouldn't have breathed a word of that at the time.

Got them !!---Sorry one is upside down. Date is 1979

PlUS---Since this garage find sat in its garage since 1983, The chrome is still a 8 out of 10-----Bumpers will be kept original & this Air Force Pass will be there for another 38 YEARS !

PLUS---I would NEVER do this today---"DECEMBER 7th" ---Never forget !

Ill pass on some pics of my restoration when I finish up the completed rolling chassis this weekend if there is interest.

I just thought you would want to know I served in the Air Force, and that did not sway my opinion about the sticker. I thought it better to get it out front rather than have someone whisper in your ear that I might be biased because it was an Air Force sticker. It was half in jest, but since I had to explain it I guess the jest is gone.
