1964 Corvette 327 ci x 300 hp oil and filter requirements

Requesting assistance from this astute body on the best oil filter and oil for the above car type.
I'm hearing Wix and Baldwin but I'm not certain of the cross reference for the part number for either from my original canister type. Also, hearing Valvoline Racing oil with Zinc additives.
What do you sage fellows recommend, and, money isn't the factor, nothing too good for these cars, yes?

For an oil filter I would recommend the Wix #51143 (assuming the car has not been converted to a spin-on filter).

For motor oil, I'd go with Shell Rotella or Chevron Delo. 10W-30 if you can find it, otherwise 15W-30 or 15W-40.

That's exactly what I use in my 67 427-390. Use the Rotella 15W40 oil. Been working for me for that last 10 years or so.

It's an easy Web search to find the oil article I wrote that was published in The Corvette Restorer... engine oil for vintage Corvettes. You don't need to buy a "name brand". Buy the correct API service category, whatever is least expensive including Walmart's SuperTech house brand. In addition to the recommended oil, the article explains WHY CJ-4 (recently superseded by CK-4) is the best currently available oil for engines with sliding surface valve trains, and explains away all the internet myths.

I like Baldwin filters because they are the "standard" for the HD equipment industry, but other brands mentioned are okay, too.

NAPA Gold canister filter part number 1143 are excellent, been using them for years for my ‘64 and ‘65. NAPA is offering 50% off all air and oil filters through th vend of the day today, October 21.

I think the NAPA filter is a WIX filter in NAPA "colors". Nevertheless, the 50% off, as long as it lasts, might bode for going with NAPA.

I don't know anything about cars and have purchased a 1964 327 x 300 Vette and I am attempting to learn enough to treat it as good as possible.

Unfortunately the Lubricants University link has been dead for several years. It was sponsored by Chevron and I believe is still around with a different URL, but you have to pay to take the course. It takes a deeper dive into engine lubrication, but all you really need to know and accept is 15W-40 CJ-4 or CK-4.

BTW, I was at my local Walmart last week, and they still have their SuperTech brand 15W-40 CJ-4 in stock at $9.44/gallon. A Web search will yield independent test results of Walmart's SuperTech 15W-40 CJ-4, and all the physical and chemical properties are in the same narrow bandwidth as all the national brands. Paying more won't get you better quality.
