1966 Rubber Fuel Line Spring Clamps

1966 Rubber Fuel Line Spring Clamps

I am replacing rubber fuel line that runs from the fuel pump to the metal line.

Does anyone have an easy way to place the spring clamps on that hose?

These are the spring clamps that are black with the three tabs and supplied with the fuel hose from Paragon.

These clamps that I am dealing with are the three prong spring clamps that Paragon sends with the fuel line hose.

          I have always used these....

Just a FYI, the replacements are different from originals.

Oops, I thought you were referring to the wire spring clamps. For the clamps you're talking about, I use Duckbill pliers.

Yes but a sharp eye can see it's just a tad shorter than originals after filing. I've witnessed this during my tenure while seeing the judges in action.

You can make those "rounded tips" "original" square, with a quick touch to a grinder and a little olive drab paint......

I would use a set of special hose clamp pliers for those. Those ears snap off pretty easily. I use a pair from Blue Point. Other companies make them as well.
