Corvette Specialties is advertising a set of exact reproduction wheels. How do they stack up for judging?

The date is not stamped on the inside but you can't see that anyway while judging. There is a DOT stamp on the inside of the wheel. It would be hard to see during judging. You can JB weld over it and sand/paint. Other than that I think they are fine.

John along with Harry, my car and one other all had the CS wheel's on the car all went through last years Nationals with no hitchs.

Which Corvette Specialties?
One in Oregon, Maryland and CA..
I looked at the web sites of them all and failed to find the sale.

I believe it is called Corvette Specialties of Maryland but I think they moved to California a couple of years ago. They may advertise in the Driveline there is only one company making them but there may be several vendors selling them.

I've not seem the reproduction however I remember a past discussion about the spyder being welded to the rim in a non typical fashion.

Yes the wheels are welded no spot welded Tracy. there are not 100 % correct, but when on the car they are not visible.

Gentleman, the reason the wheels are welded from the hub to the rim in that fashion is easy. DOT. Spot welding or plug welding is a no no in modern wheels. Specific stamping differences are also due to regulations.
Of course, that is why you do not see riveted wheels as well.
