What is the correct OEM part # for a 1112021 distributor shaft and would a NOS replacement be considered a high performance shaft as well ?

The original part number for the mainshaft with autocam was GM #800476. However, it's long-since GM discontinued. This shaft was used for a distributor used for "high performance" applications. So, presumably, it's "high performance".

If you want to maintain original centrifugal advance characteristics, if you have an original shaft, your best bet is to have the autocam removed from your original shaft and transferred to a new shaft.

The '69 L-46 distributor is not "high performance". It is emission control! For example, max centrifugal is 26 @ 5000. I don't know which of the two aftermarket shaft replacements will work best, but go with the "high performance", and see what you can get with lighter springs. I would not recommend transferring the original "football" to the new shaft. It's not worth the risk.

Ironically, when I talked to my distributor rebuilder about the shafts he found that the one sold as normal had a better performance autocam than the one sold as "high performance." If you're going to swap your original autocam onto it anyway, buy the cheaper one as the only difference is the cam unit.

Thank you for all the replies. The original shaft had the HP cam unit on it. The replacement shaft came with an identical one on it that I used. Installed and running good !

What number was stamped on the original cam, either on the top or on the bottom?

#83 on top of the shaft where springs go. 730 CCW on the bottom of the cam.
