A nice "unrestored" view. IF YOU CAN SEE IT. I CAN'T FIGURE OUT THIS PHOTOGRAPH STUFF. This will work to answer your question, but some other features are rougher than you might want.

I'm going to see HAMILTON. You guys try to figure this out. I give up.

Finally got it while SWMBO hollered about dinner being ready.

Good picture of the TCS hoses Terry. The vacuum line from the rear of the TCS solenoid that can't be seen where it connects goes to the distributor's vacuum advance. I bought my 1970 Corvette new in August 1970 and by SEP 1970 the TCS was disconnected and a direct rubber vacuum line was installed direct from full time vacuum from the carb to the distributor vacuum advance canister. Gas mileage improved driving in the city and the engines temperature was reduced. It still not being used after over 46 years.

        Jim,
I have a 1973 with working TCS (although I suspect it may be a possible cause of my wandering idle). I was thinking to bypass the TCS as you described. Is there another way to effect a bypass or disable the TCS so that it looks factory and can be easily reinstated if I wanted to return to the original factory setup?

My 1970 LT1 TCS has the original routing and function, and at 61K miles I have never felt the need to alter it. There have been more than a few threads on here about how to do that, and I will let those with direct experience address that issue.

If your 73 is wired the same as my 70, you can simply disconnect the plug on the transmission switch. This will keep the TCS solenoid open all of the time providing manifold vacuum. You will need to adjust your idle screw on the carb, more timing = faster idle.

FYI - Not that it matters much, but the 1970 AIM, UPC 6, Sheet C1, shows the TCS solenoid vacuum lines in the opposite positions as the photo above.

Many thanks for the sage advice. It does not go unappreciated.
