65 Coupe Rear Blower hot wire

I understand from a John H. post that this connects to the dash heater control , on the " 4 o'clock" terminal, looking from

    the drivers position.

My terminal has a tab in the middle at 90 degrees. Should this tab be straightened before attempting a connection?

    Thanks to any replies.

    Original harness or repro?
    Repros should have instructions.

Doug, It connects to the blower switch because when the heater/AC blower is on, the power to the rear blower is off. You should be able to tell the proper terminal to connect to with a volt ohm meter. If you are asking if the bent terminal will interfere, you can make that call. I will be "into" mine in the next day or two and can check or possibly get a picture. Good luck, Don H.

        Don,

I'd be interested in seeing that picture also as I am getting ready to start troubleshooting why the rear blower motor in my '65 coupe doesn't want to work.

OK, back at it today. The terminal with 90 degree tab on the heater control is specifically designed to accept the hot wire connector from
rear blower. Self explanatory when you see them both together.
