Having been a judge, and campaigned a few cars through the "flight" system, I'll tell you that this was just as intense, just as professional, and just as meaningful as a the flight judging program. Rather than write it all out, here is a thread that I started on the "other" forum about a week ago. http://www.corvetteforum.com/forums/...-lakeland.html

"Thank you" to Dave B. for helping this along. Thanks to all the judges, who did a great job. I'm really hoping that this program "gets some legs", and becomes an accepted part of the NCRS.

      Mike,
I had the privilege to judge operations on all 6 of those extraordinary cars. Things went very smoothly and all the car owners were very much into the process. The work and craftsmanship in all the cars was over the top. I really hope this gets traction as I think it adds a whole other dimension to the NCRS. Even though the founding fathers may be adverse to this, times change.
Thanks to all the car owners for bringing these cars. I can't wait for the next time. I'll second the thanks to Dave B. For having the foresight to take a risk.

Has it been decided yet, how many non-RPO changes will be allowed before a Corvette is no longer eligible to be judged in the Stock class? (Headers, 5 speed trans, extra gauges, aluminum heads for 327, etc).
Are "safety" items like correct sized radial tires considered a change?

        Joe,
Appearance of exterior body when everything is closed up is the determinant. Under the hood changes are not a factor.

          Mike,
I was honored to judge exterior in the new Concourse event, including your fine car; thank you for being part of this effort in corvette judging
by NCRS. I predict it will be a great success and I agree that Dave B. deserves a big Thank You for moving us, the ncrs, into this new direction.
A new chapter is opened in NCRS judging and our future.
          Dr. George

            Re: NCRS Concours Judging...

Can someone tell me where in this website is a precise definition of what the NCRS Concours Judging actually is? If it's in here, I can't find it and I've looked everywhere that I know of. PT

Try p6 of the Nov/Dec Driveline...that's about all you will get at this time, it's still in the feeling out stages and will only be done at regionals and the national convention for the time being.

Here is an example of one of the participants.

That one won't work. I can see the Top Flight ribbon on the dash from here.

Dave, at Lakeland you said you wanted to find a candidate with a blower through the hood and it looks like you found one.
