1958 bumperette vs 1961 bumperette
What is the difference between the bumperette for a 58,59,60 and a 61/62. Central corvette shows two different part numbers.

I found a set off a 62 but I have a 58. Thanks for the information. I don't guess I will buy them and keep looking for a set for a 58-60.Comment

You are asking about the front bumpers, I assume.
There is a mount bracket for the grill bar welded to the interior of the bumpers. This bracket is farther forward on 61/62 bumpers than it is on 60 and earlier bumpers. If you mount 61/62 bumpers on an earlier car, the grill and grill teeth will protrude beyond the grill surround chrome.Comment

If the earlier bumperette brackets are mounted on the later (61/62) C1s you'll see the difference pretty dramatically - they will be too far forward and down. The first picture shows this. The second picture is with the correct brackets on a 61, you should just be able to get a fingertip between the center bar and the top of the bumperette.Comment

Right......Some visuals for reference.
Bumperette bracket differences. I can't remember if these are 58-60 or 61-62, but IIRC 58-60 is about a inch longer than the 61-62.
61-62 bracket is shorter than the 58-60 bracket to get the bumperettes closer to the grille bar.
This is what a 61-62 looks like if you use the longer(wrong) lower brackets. Compare to Frank's photo of the correct length(shorter) on his 61.
58-60 longer to clear the teeth. If you use the shorter 61-62 brackets, the backside of each bumperette will hit two teeth.
Bumper differences.

Do you think a 23 1/4 bracket is for a 58? The guy wanting to sell a set sent me a pic of one of his brackets and it measures 23 1/4. Do you think yours is off a 61 or 62?Comment

Brandon, I have a loose set and a mounted set on my 59. I'll get back to you (soon) with the dimensions of, at least my 59 brackets.
