solution is people quit selling on fleebay and they will go out of business and sellers will find other outlets to sell, buyer and seller beware....i don't sell or buy online period I don't get burnt.

If the buyer used a credit card, you may want to look at that avenue. Also for anyone buying with a credit card some credit cards allow some claims, but reed the small print. One of my card allows claims up to $1000 a year, but does not allow claims on auto parts.

It's not only ebay but paypal too. I sent a part to a buyer in New Orleans and the guy claim he never got the part. I had a tracking number which show it was delivered to him. Paypal gave him a refund out of my account. I called them and said I had a confirmation number that he got the part but they said I should of insured it. I told them then that was a good racket. I will just order parts and say I did not get them, get a refund and just sell to someone else. They said since I was such a good customer that they would not only let the guy keep the money but refund my account also.

I just had the same thing happen to me with a dash pad. If the guy didn't upload the return tracking then you should call them and report this. If there is tracking uploaded then track it and see where it went. Ours had tracking but he sent it somewhere else. When I called eBay they told me I had to wait 10 days from the date they ruled with him to file an appeal. So I'd call them now and get the ball rolling. Then plead your case to them the item wasn't returned once you are allowed to file the appeal. The guy I had on the phone emailed me the link to file it from after I call them (after the 10 day window). In 24 hours they reversed their decision. Good luck

On the other, hand I had a seller sell me an FI distributor with a busted shaft that was brazed to look like new. it cracked in half and the seller said that I was trying to scam him. I had to take it to a mechanic and get a statement that the distributor was useless, and eventually ebay forced the guy to accept a return. I still lost on shipping though. For myself, I've been selling (and buying) on eBay since 99 and had relatively few problems. It goes both ways guys. Without ebay I doubt I would have ever found half the stuff for my car and at a fraction of the cost. Everyone has to take common sense steps to protect themselves, but most people are honest on there as in most things.
