      Harry,

I do not think the kit contained the stud and cups along with the sleeve they sit in. I don't recall having any problems with these parts and it seems fine on the car, my kit just contained the seals I guess.

Even when they were available from GM, there were several different kits. Kits with the stud, cups, boot, and retainer are called adapter kits since they service the adapter end of the control valve assembly. Kits which includes seals and various other related parts service the valve end of the assembly. For example, the GM kits which Joe Ray pictured above are all kits to service the adapter end of the valve. Some kits include parts for both. No kits I know of include the GM #5691581 gasket or equivalent.

The picture I posted is what is in the Paragon kit.

Yes, this is a kit which includes components for both the adapter and the valve end of the valve assembly.

I've ordered the kit from Paragon. I'm planning on using Castrol wheel bearing grease for the rebuild. Any better suggestions?

              Thanks.

I think the Castrol grease will be fine. I prefer GM #1051344, though.
