Anybody ever have one of those Daytona "thumbtack" style needle/seats stick? Some say if the flat front needle gets "cocked" it can't find its seat as well as the traditional pointed type needle and may cause carb flooding. Maybe, maybe not.

In the 12 - 14 WCFBs in which I've used the kit that would be a 'no'... I do some spirited driving in both my cars including some fast laps at Sebring and never had an issue; sold my clone dual quads with the kits in them to a gent who has put 12,000 miles on them in two years and hasn't even touched the mixture settings... I've also recommended the kits to several dozen members of that 'other' forum and no complaints yet that I've heard.

I think that concern is edging towards "urban myth" territory. Likewise, some say once the traditional needle valve gets a 'groove' after some use on it, it can stick or degrade performance. !??
