Many friends and I have used Al's for years. They also know flash chroming. Thumbs up.

            Joe,

Might check with Dan Martin who lives close to you in New Braunfels for platers.

Dan's contact information is in the Community menu Members List pull down.

Have used Als for chrome and tin. Zinc, yellow chromate, zinc phosphate, magnesium phosphate and black oxide I do myself partly because I sort of enjoy it but mostly because I can keep my nuts and bolts separated, bagged and tagged rather than batch plating at a shop and then trying to sort it all out. Zinc and phosphates are quite a bit of investment in equipment and time of course. However, for black oxide, its so incredibly fast, easy and cheap to DIY that you might want to give it a try yourself. http://www.caswellplating.com/black-...te-1-pint.html You literally dip bare bolts in room temperature solution for like 30 seconds, rinse and then treat with whatever rust preventative you prefer such as Gibbs brand penetrating oil. And a little bit of solution goes a long way and seems to last for years.
