    Leonard, thanks for the information. When I'm ready, I'll either try my self or have an upholstery shop replace the foam. If I know it's bad, no sense in spending the money, time and effort to put them on that way.

      Regarding dried out foam in exiting seats, most of the work is getting the loose cover to the table; you're more than halfway there. An upholstery shop may want to completely remove the cloth backed foam and replace it and getting the old seams to line up may be a problem. What I suggest is like liposuction and sliding in new foam strips. If nothing else, you can't do any harm and it is a very cheap repair. Good luck.
