C2 1966 Engine Pad Help
Need help with this pad. I am looking at this car, 1966 Convertible L72. Owner claims original engine. Before I spend additional time, and ask owner to clean the pad, is the stamping typical of production?

Hello again. I am attaching a picture of this pad without paint. Need some help. Does this stamp and pad look original?
Thanks FrankFrank Clark

Re: C2 1966 Engine Pad Help
The "P" only looks light compared with the front end, the other end, of the ASM number. Looks like that string of numbers gets less deep as you read from left to right. This probably happened on half the stamps in 1966. I would not be worried.https://MichiganNCRS.org

Re: C2 1966 Engine Pad Help
The fonts look good and the grain looks good. It is just struck heavy on the T side which makes it light on the P side.- Top
