I also have a 70 350/350, the timing, TCS, etc.. are all set-up factory correct and functioning. When I started having the same problem as you, it turned out to be the Restoration battery. Just not enough cold cranking amps. A generic battery from the local auto parts shop fixed the problem. I use the restoration battery for judging events.- Top

Thanks for your response. After reading some of the Restoration battery stories, the battery was the prime suspect. I do disconnect the battery after use and it appears to be working ok. I am very careful to make sure the battery is fully charged before use. However, I do plan to replace the battery with a more powerful battery for normal use. I have tried more potent batteries over the last 50 years without success. The battery contributes to the problem, but I don't think it is the root cause. Again, thanks for your comments.- Top
