Does anyone know about when in 1974, the use of the Astro Ventilation side glass stopped?

Re: 1974 Astro side glass
James,
That could be correct because it's a June car. That late 74 's didn't have the "Astro Script" on the Windows. Did you check the date code on the glass? BTW I edited my previous post. I'm sure other late 74 owners will chime in. Maybe Joel Adams, I think he has June 74 coupe.Jimmy

Re: 1974 Astro side glass
This is where it gets confusing. The 73-74 TIM&JG says that most all 74's had Astro glass, but some real late models did not. Yours would be a late model because of the June build date. The 75-77 TIM&JG says that early 75 coupes /verts and very late 75 verts have been seen with Astro glass.
Not sure if the helps or not..
But im pretty sure that the June car you are looking at wouldn't have Astro glass.

Re: 1974 Astro side glass
Jim,
Whether a car came with AC or not, the Astro Vent script appeared on the side glass. The elimination was probably a cost cutting decision.
Both of my '73s, coupe and convertible, both had / have AC, and both with the Astro script.- Top

Re: 1974 Astro side glass
My '74 is a June 27 build(33177 vin), all original St. Louis installed glass, no Astro vent script, with A/C. I have seen some early '75s with the Astro vent script tho. No clue WHEN, or what VIN break the change took place.Joel Adams

Re: 1974 Astro side glass
The key in judging is the date code on the glass. If that's acceptable, the presence of the astro ventilation script is secondary.- Top
