67 Corvette BB rear trailing arm bolt holes for sway bar

    Hi:
Does anyone have dimensions/pictures of the location of the holes to mount the swaybar to the top of the trailing arms? The trailing arms I bought do not have the holes, and I got rid of my old ones (I know a big mistake). The AIM shows the location from the back edge, but not the location in the other direction. Do I assume they are in line with the hole in the top of trailing arm? I hate to assume and would rather have real data. Thanks so much!

The AIM shows the holes centerline to be the same as the large hole centerline for the spring bolt. Item 14 will protrude from the end of the trailing arm when installed correctly.

      Tom
Those holes were not on center with the large hole. I went through my files and this is the only one I found showing those holes, from inside the arm but you can see they are off center. I would lay out the rear bar from arm to arm and see how it fall. I have transferred the hole pattern on new arms by making a simple cardboard template.

Gary, Here are some photos of '67 original arms. The holes line up with the center hole.

          Hi Rich,
I see yours do but many I have seen are not on center. I wonder how they set those up?

Thanks for the pictures everybody. I'm wondering if for 67, they were on center, and then on later on years, they went off center. If you look at Steve's pictures, the end link appears (it might just be the angle of the picture) to toe inward, or that might be that way if the wheel is jacked up. I know the real late models are off center (81-82). I'm wondering if the change occured when they went with the swaybar that had the bends in it to clear the tire carriers. Gary, do you know if the picture you have was for a pair of 67 trailing arms, or C3's? I really do appreciate your efforts!

This is another view of my left sway bar mount.... 1967 BB. Holes are on centerline.

That particular arm was probably a C3 arm, you can see it was welded on the ends and the seams were all filled in. It was for a performance build.
I would say most of the arms I see they are offset but I don't pay much attention to them to be honest. I should have plenty of 67 arm pictures I just have to check and see.

Ok here are original 1967 BB arms. They were rotted and bent so I had to replace them with new USA made arms but those don't come with the SB holes so I transferred them.

Those rear stabilizer bar anchor bolt holes in the trailing arm were drilled at St. Louis, in a bench-top drill press fixture with De-Sta-Co clamps; it was NOT a precision machining operation.
