Kimball Midwest Ultra-cut Gold Stick. this product is used to lubricate drill bits and taps. it significantly lengthens the life of these cutting tools as well as speeding up the cutting process itself. . its a wax-like product, part # 80-968.one just jabs the bit or tap into the jar it comes in. not expensive. mike

I like Tap Magic for drilling & especially taping. They make one for aluminum & one for steel. I would NEVER tap these metals with out some lubrication. CI is drilled & taped dry. You can buy it in small containers that look like a oil can.

I'll give it a try. I have different cutting oils and find that bacon fat works great also, AND smells good. makes ya hungry.

funny u should mention bacon grease. i got a mess of w va ramps the other day, fried a lb of kusler bacon, then fried some potaoes in the bacon grease, along with the ramps. only griese's bologna can top the ramp mix.
