1965 coupe upper corner stainless windshield trim
On my 65 coupe the c shaped upper corner stainless pieces fit perfectly but will not stay in place. When I push them down with my finger they are perfect but pop up a little with no pressure added. The goop by the clips is very dry and the clips have no rust. What is the hot ticket for holding these down. Thank you.

As I remember from my experience, the edges are rolled a bit to fit over the connecting 2 pieces. Your edges must be "spread" a bit. You shouldn't be able to actually press the parts together. You can try reforming the edges with some pressure against some sort of metal edge as I remember my doing a long, long time ago.
