Hey guys, I'm trying to correct a few things that had been changed incorrectly through the years on a L-75 AC car. ( 65) as well as installing a Dewitts 941 and one of Mr. Mock's water pumps. While in the process, I replaced both heater hoses and stumbled across a curved tube shown on Long Islands site. Can someone tell me where it goes. Does it go next to the vacuum controlled valve on the 5/8" hose close to the firewall ? And BTW, there is a vacuum tube there that runs to a switch located behind the glove box because I had to replace it also. Also, the shop manual and the AIM say nothing about the vacuum cut-off valve that I could see, or I missed it. LI doesn't show the vacuum valve at all. Did the car come with this valve or did someone add it ?
I'm also having trouble figuring out which fender well bracket is the right one to contain the heater hoses, the AIM shows a bracket but it appears to be for a non-AC car. HELP.
