And a competent locksmith can reset any of those locks to work with the single key.
When I bought an original spare tire tub lock my local locksmith set it up to work with my existing key.

Enzo - Originally the 1963 Corvettes came with 2 identical GM/Briggs & Stratton logo octagon head keys, so one key fit & operated all the locks on the car. This was a the case for Corvettes produced thru 1964 production. Pete

And while you are getting the key correct double check the operation of the ignition switch. It does not take much use for it to operate incorrectly.
Mine was bad in 1967 (64 car) and never realized until 2010 show.

Hi Alan, what do you mean by operation of ignition switch... I believe...... in 63 the key could be removed when the engine was running?

              Enzo,

Alan is referring to the ability to remove the key only when it is in the LOCK or ON positions.

                  Enzo,

The question is, can your key be removed in positions other then ON (running) and Lock, i.e., ACC or OFF positions?

                    Re: 63 Keys Configuration

Enzo, I only had one original key for my 63. Still had the number on the key. Sent it to Peter Lindahl aka the key guy. He sent me back a Corvair key he had in stock with the identical number on it as my 63.
Said for me to try it in all my locks and let him know if it was OK.
It was perfect so he then made me two new keys that the judges loved.

By the way Pete you don't charge enough for all the service you give us. Seriously. Thanks, JD
