Ok.
Drove the 75 roadster today. First time. I pressed hard on the go pedal and don't get a big down shift, and it seems to up shift early.
Now I get it, it's a 75, and I do have the stock torque converter. But something should happen when I gas it.
So I search the interweb, and read about an adjustable modulator. That seems a dead end as stock modulators are not the adjustable sort. Then I read about the switch attached to the accelerator pedal. I thought this just opened the cowl induction door.
Page 15 of the nifty NCRS wiring diagrams show this. 2 wires tan and tan.
I feel 3 wires, can't see them, I weigh 250.
Then I see on page 79 of the same NCRS manual the indeed there is a kick down switch.
With 4 wires 2 tan, 2 orange.
Is this the same switch for both?
I can hear the cowl door open, when I manually manipulate the switch.
Then of course, I find that the pedal isn't traveling far enough to even make the switch because of great great new carpet, padding and insulation. I've heard of rubber hoses being slipped on the swith to increase diameter. .
Is this switch adjustable?
Does any one have experience with this issue?
