My 70 Ls-5 ##11756 had one just like yours. Not sure where it came from but was in the fiber tray when I bought the car. As I recall there were 6 or 7 copies of the sheet and this was one of the bottom copies. Others will have better info. Nice find for the right car. It must be a Luby Chevrolet car.

The typical "tank sticker" was generated when the order for the car was received/processed. This is a page that had the original information, and was completed after the car was built. As you can see this sheet has "typed in" information with the various numbers unique to the items installed such as the key codes, dates etc. Additionally it carries the serial number of the completed vehicle. This document is better than a "tank sticker" for accurate documentation of a particular vehicle.

Yes it is a Luby/ Boston car.

Hi Ralph,
Stephen is correct. Your photo is not an actual tank sheet. It is the dealer's copy. Yes it was common for these items to be typed in that area on this particular form. It has all the unique items listed above, these were essential for both the plant and the dealer. All the handwritten information from the various line inspectors and broadcast copies were typed manually by a clerk on the form you mention in the lines on the right in the"Corvette Order" This copy #7 was then placed in the car's glove box for the dealer thru 67. These forms were also found in various other places in the car starting with 1968. The owners found them between the speedometer/ tach, tucked up under the seats., under the carpet etc.
BTW, Stephen: I was just looking at Tom Russo's "Corvette Buildsheet Book" and noticed your sample copies of the Corvette Dealer Order Form, Corvette Order #7, and the original Tank Sticker" Great Stuff, and very interesting....

My 1970's was not in the glove box, was removed from above the speedometer. My 1968's was located behind the radio.

You're right Jim,
They were also found under the carpeting, tucked up in the seats, and even in the suspension. I did add this information to my previous reply.
