I can't get there. I don't believe there is even an A/C line item on the C1 Judging Sheets. What would you deduct??

It's Frank's loss, too. He folded his tent, pretty quickly, when things didn't go his way. Don't get me wrong, I believe he had a beef but, he surely quit pretty fast. It's like the old joke; French rifle, never fired, dropped only once:-))

Hmmm. According to several posts here, one should "revert" to the CDCIF matrix as no AC was available that year.

My point (and I agree with Harry too) is that ALL Vintage AC installations should be judged with the CDCIF matrix. There is no way anyone could confuse VA with factory installed AC, nor would the owner of a VA installed car try to pass is off as an original AC car.

I wouldn't worry too much. Frankie will be back. He's well known as a "Drama Queen" on the CF. He has quit that forum many times saying he'll never come back but he always does. He recently quit but I see he's back to commenting on almost EVERY thread.

Since the item was not available as an option from the factory, I would ignore it and deduct for anything moved, missing, or damaged by the install.

Which, IMHO, is the way that ALL Vintage Air installations should be judged.

No, that just opens the door for anything (like VA) somebody wants to put on their car. Cars would start showing up with pin striping and flames. While more non original power steering and power brakes with versions in both hydraulic and electronic would start showing up. And how about some Bose stereo system? Then ya could throw in a turbo charger and nitrous kit with MSD box. And how about a over drive unit? Just to look cool add some black tint to all the widows.

Pretty soon the cars don’t have any resemblance to what they were in the day. No, that is just opening Pandora’s box. If one wants a street machine the flight judging is not the place for it to score high. I’m not saying don’t do it, but don’t complain neither.

THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH A SECOND FLIGHT.

Hopefully the new to be disclosed class for presenting a car with add on’s will work for these type cars I mentioned above.

Read it again THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH A SECOND FLIGHT.

We going to have to agree to disagree, Gene.

As others have stated, I think this is something that the National Judging Chairman should address............ and make a "ruling".

Harry, please don't do that, it's not good for the keyboard, and would be messy. LOL
