What's BTDT? Which part is the "switch"? I have the same problem on a '67.

Re: 66 turn signal
Replace the switch. Not too difficult. If your current switch is original save the harness and arced connector, it should be black. The repops are brown.

Re: 66 turn signal
Jay,
There is a arm that the lever attaches to and holds the switch on until the cam cancels it or you move the lever back. The end is broken and needs replacement. No need to replace the whole switch. Easy fix by removing the horn button, horn contact and then the steering wheel. Remove the screw holding the white plastic assembly and replace.

Re: 66 turn signal
Please send that pic and PN to this forum. Does the PN you're going to give apply to part I can buy from Paragon, etc. or from GM, etc.?

Here's the delayed pics and part number. The pic of the switch on the right side is one of a 64-66 only and the left side is just to show that the ends of the actuator is broken off. 63's are one year only, 67-68's are one year only and 64-66 are what is pictured on the right.
The complete switch including wiring for 64-66 is part number 910821
The actuator is part number 5957015
The part number for the 63 switch is 3824116
The part number for 67-68 is 5698520

Re: 66 turn signal
Joe,
Are these PN's GM? Will a young Chevy parts counter guy know where to look and order or will he say. "My book doesn't go back that far."? What is the name of this part?

Re: 66 turn signal
Think I erased my intended "reply." Do I have to buy the entire switch for my '67 to get a good actuator. Can the actuator be separated from the new switch and installed on my switch without having to replace the entire switch, including threading the wiring down the steering column?
