    Lubing half-shaft U-joints in a '63

    OK - what's the secret ?
My manual grease gun nipple just flat won't fit up in that tight space to do a decent job

Check the location of the u joint. It might have been installed in the wrong position. Don't ask me how I know.
    It's a good life!

Frank, I'm assuming you have grease fittings on the u joints. I suggest you use a needle fitting. It goes on your grease gun in place of the zerk snap on type. It has a soft tip that seals and retracts the grease fitting ball. Takes a bit of care to get good results. But once you use it it will become easy enough.

Frank they make a couple of adapters for grease guns, one has a point to push the center of the fitting and another is a smaller angle head.

I know on mine I cant grease the outer u-joints w/o jacking the car up a bit and playing around with the location of the grease zerk.
