    1971 fan shroud

Is the number in raised numbers on a 71 Lt-1 fan shroud? I would like the number as it is not in the TI&JG.

    Lyle-------

All that I have seen were raised. However, I can't say that every one ever made was like this. The number is 3956109.

Joe, Lyle, is the AC shroud the same number or same shroud if no number?
      It's a good life!

Is the complete number in raised form on the shroud?

If you're talking strictly about LT-1's (except ZR-1), the AC and non-AC used the same 3956109 fan shroud. The AC-equipped examples MAY have used a fan shroud EXTENSION. The 3956109 shroud was also used on all 1969-72 small blocks with copper/brass radiator.

On all examples I've seen, the complete number is present and raised characters.

              Don't believe A/C was available on the LT1 in 1971...not until 1972.
