68 427 fan clutch mounting

A little confused here... How was the fan clutch mounted to the water pump and fan mounted to the fan clutch on a 68 with the Eaton fan clutch? Studs mount the the clutch to the water pump and bolts mount the fan to the clutch?, vice versa?, all studs?, all bolts?

Studs for attachment of clutch to waterpump hub began with the 1969 model year.

Not all 1968 fan clutches used studs for attachment of the fan to the clutch. The GM #3937771 used bolts.
