    Re: C6 Grand Sport Exhaust

    Jerry,
Be careful with the years. You can only use 2009 to 2013 exhaust, without modifications. The buyer is listing 2005 to 2013 which is misleading. I just sold my std exhaust with 8,000 miles and was perfect for $25, as there is no market for the std exhaust. You should be able to buy for a lower price.

        Re: C6 Grand Sport Exhaust

As mentioned above I replaced the std exhaust on my 2011 with the GM RPO option NPP. This was $1200 option over the std exhaust, on the LS3, in 2011. This is a 2.5 inch, 2 stage, muffler option that is vacuum valved operated. This exhaust when installed from the plant, will be operate by the computer, which will open the valve at a certain RPM. This will increase the HP to 436 and give a louder exhaust tone. Maybe Joe could give you the GM part number. To retro fit these optional mufflers to your corvette, you will need to purchase the NPP mufflers, (not the ZO6 mufflers as they are 3 inch), with the vacuum actuators. If your car was not equipped with this option, you will need to order a controller to control the valves. You can buy these used from $500-$1000. I do not see a pair on e-bay as of now.
Here is a link to a tread on Corvette Forum that goes into some detail on how to install. The GS and the base corvette have the same exhaust. Do some additional searches if you need more detail, as there is much information on this popular conversion.http://www.corvetteforum.com/forums/...r-removal.html

Optional exhaust system muffler part numbers are as follows:

          GM #25839148-----left

          GM #25839149-----right

The above carry a GM list price of almost 1400 bucks each.
