Re: C6 Grand Sport Exhaust
There are numerous aftermarket exhaust vendors, several of them advertising on Corvette Forum, and others that set up shop at Bloomington and Carlisle. Kooks and Borla are just two. Perhaps they could sell you a "take-off" set up.
Know that there was an optional dual mode exhaust system available from the factory. It had pressure-activated baffles that opened the inner two tips and sounded louder when open. There's also a "mild to wild" bypass available that offers a switch to manually operate (open and close) the inner baffles. I have this exhaust and this switch on my Grand Sport and love it. Like a friend of mine says, I should manually open the baffles and then throw the switch out the window.
Hope this helps

Re: C6 Grand Sport Exhaust
If you want factory, show up at Bloomington or Carlisle and go to one of the vendors who is installing exhaust on site. I suspect you would get some original exhaust very cheaply. They are usually piled high and available.
I also have the dual mode exhaust, but leaving the flaps open full time (remove the fuse that controls them) gets quite annoying as the resonance in the car is a bit much. I'm too cheap to spend $100 on the switch to do it.
I wish GM had better tuned when they open and close, but they didn't ask me how to set it up.Vice-Chairman (West), Michigan Chapter NCRS

I agree the open baffles can be quite loud/annoying at high RPM/ speed. I can't hear the stereo or phone then. I close them when on the open road, otherwise, they're typically openDon Lowe

I don't blame you for not liking the sound. Personally, I wouldn't have one of these aftermarket exhaust systems on ANY Corvette. If someone gave me one, I'd either give it to someone else or scrap it. I wouldn't install one on my car under ANY circumstances.
To me, there's only one way to go and that's 100% stock or as close to it as you can get. For you, that's easy. I agree with Patrick. The most economical way to go is to get one from one of the vendors at Carlisle or Bloomington. They install their crazy aftermarket systems all day long and by the end of the show, they have HUGE piles of stock exhaust systems. The way they throw them on the pile, I suspect all they intend to do with them is take them to the scrap yard. So, if you were to go there, just wait for someone with a 2011 base or GS to come by for a replacement. Then, ask if you can purchase the system they take off. That way, you'll know you have the right system.
Otherwise, you can purchase a NEW system from GM as follows:
intermediate pipe-------GM #25839150
left muffler and pipe----GM #25839146 (standard exhaust)
right muffler and pipe---GM #25839147 (standard exhaust)
left muffler and pipe-----GM #25839148 (hi performance exhaust)
right muffler and pipe----GM #25839149 (hi performance exhaust)
The above are not inexpensive (especially the high performance mufflers) but, in my mind, it's the ONLY way to go.In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top

Re: C6 Grand Sport Exhaust
Jerry,
I have a 2011 base corvette, that came with the std exhaust. Tried it for a several months, but could not handle the quietness of the system. I upgraded it to the NPP option with the mild to wild switch. Make sure you listen to a std exhaust before you make a descision.

Re: C6 Grand Sport Exhaust
I'd still pick one up dirt cheap at Carlisle or Bloomington, and wouldn't buy one from the dealer. I even saw NPP systems laying there last year, and was (am) tempted to buy one as a spare.Vice-Chairman (West), Michigan Chapter NCRS

The GM #25839146 carries a current GM list price of $622.55. The GM #25839147 carries a current GM list price of $619.72. If you could buy the pair for $450+tax, that would be a STEAL Seems almost impossible. In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top

Re: C6 Grand Sport Exhaust
Price seems to be low, I'd expect that price for just one muffler. You may want to double check. Also make sure you are getting the exhaust tips with the parts.

Yes, these mufflers would work. The 2013 base exhaust mufflers were the same as those used for the 2011 base exhaust (however, they were NOT the same going back to 2005 as the seller indicates). In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top

I think so but I can't be certain. The problem is the part numbers provided are not GM part numbers and the seller does not say what actual year model car it came off of.In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top
