QUADRA-JET Brass or Nitrophyl Float?

Any thoughts on the pro/cons of a brass vs. nitrophyl carb float in my '73 Quadra-Jet? I always assumed I had no choice but the nitrophyl variety, but I have access to the brass variety. I've seen where the brass ones can develop pin holes and fill up, but other than that?

Rich, I have rebuilt many carburetors over the years and have used the factory style floats with out problems, brass is also trouble free, it maybe that the the newer fuels w/ethanol brass maybe a better choice.

Rich, would you mind sharing your source for brass Q-Jet floats? Do they offer ethanol resistant kits? Chip.

I vote for the brass as a better choice. When the brass go's bad it happens fast. When the foam starts to fail it takes a while and I have seen guys change plugs, jets, and have all kinds of problems only to find a half soaked foam float.
I buy brass when I rebuild. The aviation carbs were switched to foam only to be switched back to a reinforced brass float.

I went with brass on my Q jets for the reason mentioned - if it fails, you'll know right away.
