Richard, you need frosted caps. I don't think 63 hubcaps are reproduced, just some of the pieces, ie, the bars and spinners.

mike i'll take the hubcaps let me know what i owe ya. if i were andy c or phil c, i'd out a set of K/O's on the 63 fi roadster i've just started to restore. a silver blue one like yours. mike

Is there a way to frost a polished set? I know the ell frost paint but is that a decent way to go or a waste of time and money?

How did GM frost them?

Rich, let's just say this will be expensive. The cost to re-chrome the bars and the spinner is more than buying the reproductions from Trim-Parts. Last I looked four sets of bars will be about $550 to $600 and the four spinners will be another $150. Now you need to find a good set of stainless steel caps, lets say another $300. Now add in the labor to take out all the dings and polish them, another $200. Then add profit.

You see where I'm going. I went through this process with my own a few years back and as I recall my cost was about $900. I sent them out to have the dings removed, not too many. Plus I avoided the profit.

Now you did say pristine which translates to $$$$$$

As I recall it was Brightworks in Fall River, Mass. This is all the owner does, and he does it well. The owner is Steve Grace. Google the company, there is a website......
